When excitement becomes a problem

Being excited about something isn't bad at all, don't get me wrong, but too much excitement can lead to a serious problem. If it's a calm day without much work to do or problems to solve and you finaly have enough time to just relax your body and mind, but, instead of doing that, you feel like you should be doing something big or you'll waste your day. Does this sound familiar to you? You just can't sit down and drink a cup of coffee in peace and relax without doing something.

There are thousands of thoughts running in your mind about the things you should be doing, but you don't have the time to do all those things and can't even decide what to do first, so you start doing one thing and then when the excitement runs out you switch to another and so on. At the end of the day you feel like a train wreck and just want to hit the bed.

Don't give yourself impossible tasks. Spending some time with yourself in peace and tranquility isn't a waste of time. Use this time to clear your head and charge your batteries. Enjoy the taste of your coffee without thinking of the things you should be doing next. Happiness is the real deal, not excitement, and to be truly happy you need to be at peace with yourself.

In order to be at peace with yourself first you need to clear that clutter in your head by dealing with those thoughts running on your mind. Organize yourself by priorities and, for every project that you want to work on ask yourself why would you want to work on that project at first place. Asking yourself that question will help you realize the importance of the project because most of project ideas are just shots in the dark and will spend your time and get you nowhere. Also, give yourself enough time to work with a steady pace on your personal projects, don't rush and push yourself to hard because you'll burn out eventually.
