Clear the clutter in your head

Do you keep tripping over things in your home? What have you done about it? Do you keep tripping over same old thoughts on your mind? What have you done about it? Notice the problem? When your home fills up with clutter you spend a lot of your precious time just trying to find the things that you need which are buried beneath all that garbage. Similarly, your mind can clutter up if you don't do a regular cleanup. When your mind goes on and on about that call you need to make next week or the renovation plans for your home that you are going to make this weekend and you just  keep forgetting the things that you have to do today. Also, that feeling like having a black hole in your mind, when you accomplish something that you were worrying about, but you forget to give yourself credit for.

What if you could clean up your mind and just flow through your day without those future tasks cluttering your mind? With a clear mind you'll have more energy for dealing with your daily tasks, more energy for your creative work and more energy for your family. Also, a decluttered mind means that you will be able to put your focus completely on the things that you're doing and a better focus leads to less time spent on your tasks. Spending quality time with your friends and family would be easier, without the need for suppressing that noise in your head. Also, giving yourself a pat on the shoulder after any personal achievement, big or small, will replace that feeling of something missing in your mind with confidence.

Where to start? These days we have a lot of tasks to do so it's much easier to use a task organizer in order not to miss something important. Also, on busy days we forget to give ourselves a pat on the shoulder whenever we reach a certain personal goal. In order not to miss anything important in your life and worry about distant future tasks I recommend you using an organizing application on your smartphone. I use the DigiCal application on my smartphone for getting organised simply because it works best for me, but you can use any organizing application that suits your needs. The key part is that you schedule a reminder the day before the task you need to do and the other reminder on the day the task starts.

Let's say, next month you have to make a dinner reservation for your girlfriend's birthday. You have to schedule a reminder for the day you have to make that reservation and also schedule one more reminder for the day before. That way you won't worry about forgetting to make the reservation and you won't be surprised when the reminder pops up on the day you scheduled your task.

Don't forget to give yourself a pat on the shoulder whenever you reach a personal goal, even a small one, beacuse that boosts your confidence and it gives you a greater chance to remember all your achievements and shows you that you are capable of overcoming anything that life puts in front of you.
